isolated i/o moduleThe Isolated Digital I/O Module adds an additional six +5 to +24 VDC isolated I/O channels to the MicroLYNX. All of the I/O channels can be individually programmed as either inputs or outputs, or as dedicated (limit, home, etc.) or general purpose.

When used as inputs, these I/O channels have seven programmable digital filter settings ranging from 215 Hz to 27.5 kHz. As outputs, each channel can sink up to 350 mA. The I/O is isolated from the power supply ground.

A 7.5kOhm switch selectable pull-up resistor is provided for each I/O channel. The six I/O channels may be pulled up to either the internal +5 VDC supply or an external voltage provided by the user. Protection circuitry includes over temperature, short circuit and inductive current clamp.

diff i/o moduleThe Differential Digital I/O Module adds 3 high speed 0 to +5 VDC differential I/O channels to the MicroLYNX motion control system. The channels can be used differentially or single ended as inputs or outputs.

The Differential Module can be used for encoder feedback, electronic gearing, or to control an additional axis sequentially.

The I/O channels can be individually programmed by the user to be one of three clock types: Step / Direction (output only), Up / Down (input or output), or Quadrature (input or output).

When used as inputs, these I/O channels have seven programmable digital filter settings ranging from 39.1kHz to 5.0 MHz.

isolated i/o moduleThe Analog Input / Joystick Input Module adds two 0 to +5 VDC analog input channels to the MicroLYNX motion control system. Both channels can be used for data acquisition, or either channel may be used to directly control motion.

The user-selected Joystick channel can be programmed to set the range, zero, dead band and sensitivity. A Setup Joystick command is provided to allow the user to easily set up the Joystick parameters.

Each analog channel uses a 12 bit D/A for better resolution as well as a fixed single pole analog filter with a cutoff frequency of 658 Hz to reduce noise that can be present in industrial environments.

isolated i/o moduleThe Analog Output Module gives the MicroLYNX the ability to control drivers that require an analog control signal such as variable frequency drivers, servos and brush-type DC motor drivers. It adds two 0 to +5 volt output channels to the functionality of the MicroLYNX. Each channel features 12 bit resolution and may be programmed to one of three operational modes: voltage, velocity or position. Each of these modes may be set to a 2.5V centerpoint for plus or minus operation.

In many cases, this module may save the expense and complexity of using a PLC by enabling MicroLYNX to handle applications such as Indexing Conveyor, Material Handling and Feed Rate Override.

Drive Protection Module

The function of the DPM75 Drive Protection Module is to limit the surge current and voltage to a safe level when DC input power is switched on and off to a motor drive. This provides the added protection necessary for reliable motor drive operation when switching the DC power, instead of the recommended AC power to the DC power supply. The device is designed to protect the motor drive when operating under all load conditions. This device does not protect the motor drive from wiring the power incorrectly.

The unit is capable of being used with 48, 60, and 75 volt rated motor drives. An external jumper selection is available so the user can match the circuit to their particular application. The DPM75 is capable of a steady state operating current of 4 amps.

The DPM75 can be used for any frame size motor drive, when properly configured. It can also be used for more than one unit provided the current and voltage do not exceed the DPM75's ratings. The maximum DPM75 ratings are 75 volts and 4 amps.
